Role and Activities
The Financial Controller (“FC”) role is a new role to support us in further development, standardization and professionalization in terms of finance, administration, compliance and risk management for the company and related funds.
The FC will be actively involved in planning, reporting, budgeting and analysis as well as payment and dedicated admin operations. As we have outsourced the vast majority of administration and financial reporting tasks, the FC is expected to play an active support and supervision role in proper execution as well as identification and implementation of efficiencies and prudent operations. The FC will work closely with the Business Controller and other members of our team

Responsibilities
• Support the financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal financial control and funds under management;
• Be the liaison for the external administrator and verify their work to ensure the financial administration is accurate and complete;
• Be the linking pin between the investment team, management and external administrators/auditors on all financial matters;
• Maintain the administration for non-standard items and transactions, in coordination with the external administrator;
• Prepare management and investor reports, including performance, risk and compliance reports;
• Coordinate regulatory reporting, including AIFMD and/or SFDR;
• Support the budget and forecasting process and funds and monitor performance against budget;
• Recommend improvements in internal procedures;
• Back-up/support the Business Controller on compliance, governance and operational matters.
Profile
• Team player with a constructively critical mindset, who dares to speak up;
• Accurate, analytical and structured way of working;
• Flexible and pragmatic, able to find solutions;
• Good understanding of financial products, such as structured loans, private equity, investment funds;
• Experienced user of financial reporting formats and Microsoft Excel;
• At least 5 years relevant experience at/with financial institutions;
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or economics;
• Fluent in English;
• You will report to one of the Partners and regularly liaise with our external Finance, Risk & Compliance Advisor.
